Circuits
In unit 3 of my computer engineering class we learned about circuits. There are two types of circuits. One, is the digital circuits. the digital circuit is a group of electronic components that uses binary signals to perform some tasks. The other circuit is the Integrated circuit. An integrated circuit is a 'chip' (aka microchip or silicon chip) that contains many components in microscopic circuits, usually etched into semiconductor material. Most commercial digital circuits come in this form. Based on this we made circuits of our own. While doing this we also used logic gates which helped our LED's to light up.
From this unit we also learned some other basic theories. These include Analog signals vs. Digital signals. we learned that analog signals are the signals whose output varies continuously in step with the input. A digital signal is a signal whose output varies at discrete voltage levels commonly called HIGH or LOW (1 or 0). We also leaned that most electronic devices use DC current which is Direct Current. Some appliances use AC current which is Alternate Current.
