Computer Programming
In the beginning of this coarse, I had no idea that computer engineering would also contain computer programming. Computer programming is creating a set of instruction for the computer so it can perform a task. In unit 4 we programmed on Turing. Before we got started we began learning the basic programming phrases that would help us create our program. These include "put", "get", "colourback" etc. Our first program was creating a snow scene in Turing. It was a completely different experience for me. I learned many new skills on Turing just by exploring Turing by myself. I learned to "trial and error" for my pixel position to make different shapes. I also learned to make different animation like making the snow fall down continuously until the program ends. Our summitive project was also on Turing. We had to make a 25 question quiz on computer engineering. From this program my Turing skills grew and I became more fluent and comfortable using Turing. I learned how to make pics and the background merge together so the program look good.
In conclusion, we learned that computer programs play an important role when it comes to computer engineering. We also learned that without program the computer would not be as nearly addicting as it is today.
